The Women in Black on the big screen

Many years ago, acclaimed film director Bruce Beresford bought film rights to Madeleine St John's delightful novel, The Women in Black. At Cannes Film Festival earlier this month, Bruce announced that he has secured funding and will begin production for the feature film in October this year. To be filmed in Sydney, it will star Monica Belluci, Guy Pearce and Miranda Otto. We have acquired rights to another of Madeleine's works, The Essence of the Thing, which we will publish in October this year.
