Nina Kenwood at Heads & Tales Bookstore (VIC)

We're so excited to welcome beloved author Nina Kenwood to Barwon Heads to celebrate her forthcoming book The Wedding Forecast. This is Nina's third book and her first for adults (though her previous YA books It Sounded Better in My Head and Unnecessary Drama have been loved by all!)

The Wedding Forecast is the feel-good rom-com we've been waiting for. For fans of Emily Henry and Rachael Johns, it's a joyful, funny story about two people seemingly destined to not be together, alongside a story of bookstores, turning 30 and best friendship. Bella stayed up way too late to keep reading this book, it's one of her favourites for the year!

Nina will be joined in conversation by bestselling romance author Jodi McAlister for a fun conversation on writing romance, feel-good fiction and dating.

Nina Kenwood won the Text Prize for her debut YA novel, It Sounded Better in My Head, which went on to be published in six languages, was a finalist for the American Library Association’s William C Morris Award, as well as being shortlisted for several Australian awards. Her second book, Unnecessary Drama, continued her success both in Australia and overseas. The Wedding Forecast is Nina’s first novel for adults.

Jodi McAlister, PhD, is an author and academic from Kiama, Australia. Her academic work focuses on the history of love, sex, women and girls, popular culture, and fiction. It means that reading romance novels and watching The Bachelor is technically work for her. She is currently a aenior lecturer in writing, literature, and culture at Deakin University in Melbourne.
