This book will make you change the way you think about philosophy. Instead of treating philosophy as a dry academic subject, Luc Ferry shows how it is essential to our everyday lives. Both a sparkling, accessible history of Western thought and a courageous dissection of how religion and philosophy have converged and clashed through the ages, Learning to Live aims to answer once and for all (and without any obscure jargon) the question: what use is philosophy, anyway?
